Christmas is coming!
Plummeting temperatures, twinkling lights, the waft of spices in the air… The end of the year is drawing close, with the traditional Christmas and New Year festivities bringing it to a close in style. ⚖️ An end-of-year characterised by… legalisations
As the year draws to a close, and as in previous years, many of our clients are asking us to legalise commercial documents, particularly those required by the Consulate of the United Arab Emirates. This week alone, we have submitted five applications! It can take a long time to complete the administrative formalities that precede the legalisation itself. So please try to give us as much time as possible to deal with this type of request, especially if you have sworn translations to get legalised and deadlines that can’t be negotiated. As always, you can count on us to do our utmost to meet your deadlines and give your dossier priority.

In Spain, there’s no Father Christmas! It’s the Three Wise Men who bring presents for the children… On 6 January, the day of Epiphany (and the day when the Three Wise Men arrived for the birth of Jesus, according to Christian belief), Melchior, Gaspard and Balthazar come bearing not gifts such as gold and incense, as they did for the baby Jesus, but the presents that the children want.

You’ve probably read The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry several times as it’s such a classic. But did you know that it’s been translated 600 times?! A world record, according to the book’s official website. It is now available in Dulegaya, a language spoken in Panama and northern Colombia. ‘Today, with many languages on the verge of extinction, The Little Prince plays a unique role in safeguarding languages and transmitting cultures. Thanks to the passion of its translators, this work has been transposed into rare languages and endangered dialects, thus helping to preserve the world’s linguistic heritage,’ states the Little Prince website.
