All together for the start of 2026!

A team-building day in the company of some very famous people… made of wax!

What better way to celebrate the new year than with a bit of team building!  It gave us the perfect opportunity to welcome our new work-study student, Lauryne, who joined our team at the end of 2025.  This time, we headed to the Grévin Museum, where we were able to get up close to many iconic figures, take photos standing next to them and even step into the shoes of some of the characters. There was so much to see and relish, and in such a magnificent setting, that we will remember this day for a long time to come. To finish off in style, we went for a Japanese meal, which is becoming a bit of a tradition for our team!

Do you know what Soninke, Pashto, Dioula and Tigrinya are?

These are languages, which, although many people don’t know it, are spoken by millions of people around the world.  Soninke is a language spoken in West Africa, Pashto is widely used in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Dioula is a lingua franca in West Africa, and Tigrinya is spoken in Eritrea and northern Ethiopia. We come across all these languages, which reflect the cultural richness of human interactions, in the course of our work. We are often asked how many language combinations we offer. It may surprise you to know that at Communications Européennes, we work with a vast array of languages, from the most common to the rarest.

Candlemas… Mexican style!

On 2 February, in France, we make crêpes. In Mexico, it’s Día de la Candelaria: whoever finds the bean in the Rosca de Reyes in January must offer tamales to their family and friends.  Tamales are small dishes made from corn dough with a filling (savoury or sweet), wrapped in corn husks and steamed. They sound delicious, don’t they? Two special dishes, one goal: getting together to share good times. In February, it’s good food that brings people together!
